Aradhane of Sri Jagannath Dasaru
Sri Jagannath Dasaru is considered one of the notable Haridasa who was born at a native of Manvi town in the Raichur district, Karnataka.He has composed nearly 10,000 songs, they are lucid, melodious and musical. The encyclopedia of Madhwa philosophy is called Sri Harikathamrutha Saara which was written by this greatest Dasaru. Aradhane of this great Haridasaru is celebrated tomorrow 24/09/2012.

Sri Vijayadaasaru, an aproksha Gyanin directed Sri Jagannatha Dasaru to Sri Gopaala Daasaru who would be his swaroopa guru. Sri Gopala daasaru gave him Haridaasa Deekshe and directed him to Pandarapur and kept ankitha as Jaganatha Vitthala. Sri Gopala daasaru also donated 40 years as ayurdhana to Sri Jaganatha dasaru who later wrote a great work by the name Harikathaamrithasaara
The Harikathaamritha saara known as the Kannada sudha had been written by the great Jagannaatha Daasaru who was none other that Sahlaada the brother of Prahlada and born as Salya in the Dwapara yuga and again as Sri Jagannatha Daasaru in the Kali Yuga. The name as it denotes means the juice of the myraid glories of Sri Harih. But this has an inner meaning which exhilerates all of us.
Sri – Mahalakshmi
Harih – the Lord who expunges all the sins.
Katah – the sristha, stiti, laya, karanah aspects of the Lord
Amrita – another name for Sri Vaayuh
Saaraaa – mukyaamsha of the above.

First saint to write commentary on Harikathaamrithasaara:
Sri Sankarshana Wodeyaru was the first saint to write Sanskrit commentary onHarikatha amritha saaraa(called as Kannada Sudha written by great Sri Jagannatha Dasaru) and its the most extensive teeka.He had taken avatara specially to write a tika on the Harikathaamritha saaraa.
