About Dharmasthala,Udupi:

Dharmasthala is Located 75 kms from Mangalore About 800 years ago, when Rudra deva and Parvathi devi were doing sanchara they found the place Kuduma with beautiful river Nethravathi flowing nearby. they enjoyed the stay due to divine nature. As mark of their visit they left Shiva linga, which was then noticed by Barmanna Heggadhe, followers of Jainism . He decided to install the same as he was happy seeing the Shiva linga.

When Sri Vaadhiraja along with bhootaraja were coming back from Kukke Subramanya, he was invited by Devaraja Heggadhe to have dharshan of Dharmastala. Devaraja Heggadhe was 8th from the great tradition Devaraja Heggadhe requested saint Vaadhiraja to conduct pooja to Rudra, which the saint immediately accepted. Saint noticed the temple was not installed as per vedic rites, and hence told Heggadhe that he could do pooja only if it is installed as per aagama saastra Heggadhe accepted and requested Swamiji to do so.

Vaadhiraja reinstalled Sri Rudra and also placed Hayagreeva saligrama on top of it. He also arranged mass feeding for the people who visit the place The saint renamed Linga as Sri Manjunathaa and the place was renamed as Dharmasthala from kuduma. He also appointed a Vaishnava(Madhva brahmins) for performing pooja to Rudra, and its been more than close to 500 years and the tradition is still being followed. Heggadhe family has been managing the temple till now. They have been providing free education, feeding food to, thousands of devotees on daily basis. Sri Vadhiraja visit to Ayodhya:

Sri Vaadhiraja Swami was born in Kumbhasi, Kundaapura in the year 1480, the land of Lord Sri Parashuraama, Sri Vaadhiraja lived 120 years happily and he devoted every second in Lords seva. He was an poet, scholar, writer, gyani, social reformist, protector of Hinduism. Sri Vaadhiraja in his book Tirtha prabandha, explains the beauty of holy place Ayodhya.

When Sri Rama went to forest for exile, this holy place was not ruled by any other kings, but only Lord Rama’s feet ruled, which was kept in the throne by Bharatha, and people lived happily waiting to see their Master coming back. One of the saptha maha shetras, where Lord Sri Rama took birth and rightly called Rama janma bhoomi.

The narrative skills of Saint Vaadhiraja cannot be compared with anyone. He can be compared only with him.

Francis Xavier Decamped from Goa

When Francis Xavier landed in Goa on 6 May 1542, he started mass conversion, and made every Hindus to get converted to his religion, and those who did not accept him were killed brutally. Sri Vaadhiraja comes to know this news and condemned this act. Xavier could not control the pressure given by Swamiji and stopped his mass conversion.   This was recorded by himself in his biography. He added saying if Vaadhiraja did not stop, he would have converted all Hindus to his religion.
