“Vyasaaya Bhavanaasaaya Srishaaya Gunarashaye | Hrdyaya Shudhavidhyaya Madhvayacha Namo Namaha”
Namaskara to Lord Sri Veda vyasa(Sriman Narayana), husband of Mahalakshmi who is filled with infinite auspicious qualities. Namaskara to beautiful saint who has full of knowledge, who has all the lakshanas in full none other than Jagadguru Sri Madhvacharya — Sri Vadiraja Tirtha in his magnum opus work “Yukthi Mallika”
Samvatsara means a Year in Samskrita as per our Hindu calendar. There are 60 samvatsaras as listed by the great Saint Varahamihira as per Brihat Samhita.
The running samvatsara is Hemalamba (Hevilambi) and the next year as per the periodic cycle is ‘Sri Vilambi’ Nama samvatsara which starts from March 18th 2018 &Hindus celebrate it as Yugadi.
Astrological point of View:
As per Astrological prediction, Chandra rising in the Uttara bhadra(Uttaratadhi) nakshatra in the Meena Rasi. Chandra being posited in Meena Rasi is considered to be auspicious as it happens to be the house of Guru.
Guru and Sukra have exchanged their houses, which is otherwise called as Parivarthana yoga. It denotes that Guru bhagvan is also himself placed in his own house(Meena) and Sukra being poisted in his own(Thula). Thus making Chandra to be strong in all aspects including Guru/Chandra and Amasvasya yoga.
It denotes Chandra Lagna is thus strong by association of Guru/Chandra, which makes one to be strong in all aspects. If he/she wish to do spiritual sadhane then Guru(Sri Raghavendra) will give us bhakthi and Gyana.
It also denotes the 8th house from Chandra Lagna is now so strong by Sukra placement in Thula(his own house). It indirectly says that Lord has given Ayul Arogya to all of us in this Samvatsara for doing Sadhane.
On the flip side, Sage Varahamihira in Brihat Samhita says Vilambi samvatsara rains will be minimum in quantity (scanty) and crops yield may not be as expected.
Let us pray Lord Shri Hari to bestow good rains and keep all Sajjnas happy with Ayul, Arogya to develop bhakthi.
