Sri Sri Vyâsa Tîrtharu is considered to be the third avatar of Shankukarna(i.e, before Mantralaya mahaprabhu Sri Raghavendra Theertharu). Today being the aradhanae mahotsava of one of the greatest Madwa saints, Sri Sri Vyasarayara theertharu, I would like to post this article on him. Let us pray him on this day, who will remove all our Sins.
Sri Vyasaraja Teertharu stayed at bhoolaka vaikuntam(Tirumala) for 12 years and did seva to the Lord and graciously handed over the the same to the archaka and left the place. Before leaving the holy precincts he had donated the Shesha Vahana which we see during the Brahmotsava every year.

Sri Vyasaraja was the favoured and respected Rajaguru of four emperors of historical Vijayanagar empire.  Sri Vyasaraja was also the guru of the likes of Kanakadasa and Purandaradasa. Over five hundred years ago Sri Vyasaraja consecrated 732 idols of Hanuman throughout our bharatha desha. Sri Sripadarajaru(Druva amshavada) was his Vidyaguru of Sri Vyasaraya Theertharu and Sri Vijayendra theertharu was his beautiful shishya.

Meaning:May Sri Vyasaraja who is famous for his ratnatraya (Taatparya Chandrika, Nyaayaamrita and Tarkataandava) which resemble the three glowing eyes of Sri Narahari in the garb of Dvaita Siddhanta in obliterating the arrogance of Hiranyakashipu the foe of the gods who declared himself as god, as a Vajraayudhaa or the thunderbolt of Indra which could smother the Advaitic mountains, take compassion on me and bless me here and hereafter.

Short info regarding Sri Vyasarajaru
1) Sri Vyasarajaru born and raised near chennapattana,studied in Mulabagilu and moved to Hampi upon the invitation of the King where he spent the rest of this life.
2) He was a Rajguru for 6 emperors of the Vyasaraja Dynasty.
3) His biography was written by Telugu poet Somanatha Kavi & one more Urdu kavi Mir Allam who was ambassador of Bhaamani kingdom.
4) He personally did the seva of lord of Tirupathi Sri Srnivasa devaru for 12 years,as a result the prayer and worship schedule that are followed today adher to the guideliness established by sri Vyasarajaru.
5) The concept of University was first established by Vyasarajaru.
6) He was honored by various rulers of the world’s nations,including Delhi Sultanate,Adhil Shah.
7) He is the initiator of Chaithnaya Pantha in Bengal,which is now called ISKCON.
8) He was guru for both Purandara dasaru,Kanakadasaru as well as inspiration for Vaishnava sampradaya bhakthas like Namadeva,Mirabhai,Thukaram etc.
9) He composed in Kannada many Suladhis & Ugabhogasa.
10) It was under his guidance that a revolution in Carnatic Music started in south India, He is considered as incarnation of Prahlada and previous of Raghavendra swamy.
