Sri Jagannatha Dasaru is revered as one of the most prominent and influential saints of the Haridasa movement in Dvaita Vedanta.Believed to be the incarnation of Sahlaada (brother of Prahlada) and Shalya during the Dwapara Yuga, returning as Sri Jagannatha Dasaru in Kali Yuga. Studied under Sri Varadendra Thirtharu of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha.Guided by Sri Vijayadasaru (an Aparoksha Gyani), who directed him to his Swaroopa Guru, Sri Gopaladasaru. Sri Gopaladasaru granted him Haridasa Deeksha, donated 40 years of his own ayurdhana (lifespan) to him, directed him to Pandharpur, and bestowed upon him the ankita “Jagannatha Vittala”.
Sri Jagannatha Dasaru composed one of the beautiful Hari dasa song on Sri Rayaru, and we will do smarane during the occasaion of Sri Rayaru on his 155th Aradhane celebration,
