Name 2 ~ Om Vishnavae Nama Om

Vishnu, he is the one who measured the entire Universe, he is the one who is the shelter for all his creations. He is called by the holy name as he is the one who cannot be fully known by anyone, including Mahalakshmi.

Jagadguru Sri Madhvacharya beautifully quotes the reference from Skanda purana that he is the one who is Supreme in the past, present and in the future, and all souls take the shelter of him, and none really have the capacity of him at any time. Lord himself says the same in Srimadh Bhagavad Gita in Chapter 12 – 7, I will lift the those from Samsara and bestow Moksha for those who keep mind in me!! Of course, other than him none can remove our Samsara bandha(cycle of birth and death)

Kanaka Dasaru in his holy work, Hari bhakthi saara, mentions that from the punishment of Yama it can be one and only Vishnu, who can safeguard from the clutches of Yama. It could be neither chaturmukha brahma nor Rudra deva but only Lord Sri Vishnu can save us!

For all the Souls, it is Mukyaprana(Vayu), who controls all the senses, who is important more than anything else for a Human body. For any jeeva Mukyaprana’s blessings is essential and hence he is rightly called Jeevothma. If he goes out we call them as dead, but even for him his dear is Lord Sri Vishnu. This has been quoted in Vishnu Rahasya purana adhyaya 18.

Gaya shetra is auspicious due to presence of Vishnu paadha(feet), there is no other demi-gods feet which has a temple in our India. Why is it so? Rajaru adds saying, whatever pious activity is done in this place becomes auspicious. Having dharshan of Lords feet makes one to enjoy moksha. There is no iota of doubt in that.

About Vishnu Paadha from Skanda Purana:

Mantralaya mahaprabhu‘s avatara Prahlada maharaja mentions the importance of Lords feet at Vishnu pada from Skanda purana. He says be mere sight of Lords feet yields the fruit of having a holy bath in river Ganga. Pitrus(forefathers) lineages go to abode of vaikunta if a man goes to Vishnu pada and do sraddha at this holy place.
