In this post I would like to give details about Sri Raghavendrar brindhavana at the place called ‘Vaduvur’ at Tanjore,Tamilnadu , where Sri Swamin gave dharshan in five headed snake roopa (Sarpa) to the ruling King Raghunath Bhoopal of Tanjore, and told him that he will continue to bless all his devotees forever at the same place.
Pattabhisheka/Sanyashrama to Sri Venkataarya:
Sri Raghavendra Vijaya(by Sri Narayanacharya) brings very interesting life history of Sri Raghavendra Swamiji in detail. Sri Sudeendra Tirtha Swamiji blessed Sri Venkatanatha & renamed as Sri Raghavendra Tirtha. The grand function happened at Tanjore before the King Raghunatha Bhoopal, who was ruling the place during 1621.
After attaining sanyashrama Shri Raghavendra Tirtha continued to stay at Vaduvur for about 12 years and removed all miseries of his devotees, and the place was filled with all auspicious devatha presence. Sri Raghavendra Swamiji decided to go for Desha sanchara and leaves the place after blessing the King and devotees.
The place Vaduvur is considered to be very sacred as Sri Raghavendra Swamiji himself had promised King that he would continue to stay in Sookshma shareera and bless all his devotees. And hence there is no mrithika installed on this brindhavana.
