Sri Sri Raghottama Teertharu(1537-1595) was the 13th Pontiff of Sri Uttaradi Mutt. He had added flavour to Sri Madhva shastra by composing five bhavabhodas.

My Experience to Thirukovilur(7/1/09):
On the auspicious day of “Lord Sri Narayana” i.,e Sri VaiKunta Ekadashi(7/1/09), I left chennai at around 7:00PM and embarked my journey to attend maDhya aradhanae at Thirukovilur, the place where one of the famous saints of Sri Madhwa parampara’s Moola brindhava exist. He is none other than the most powerful “Sri Raghotamma theertharu”. Sri Raghotamma theertharu has had been performing dozens and dozens of miracles each and every day, to those who keep divine faith & deep bhakthi on him.
I reached Thirukovilur at 10:30 pm (i.e, on Ekadashi dhina). I think the total crowd on that day would be around two thousand. The place was filled with divine music and devotional songs by famous singers around India (mostly from South India). They were singing devotional songs praising Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu, I never thought I would hear those pleasant songs, and first of all, I never thought I would be present there to visit this holy place. Believe me, its nothing but Sri Hari echa(desire) that i should attend this aradhanae this year…
I made pradhashina namaskara to the great holy saint Sri Raghotamma theertharu. His brindhavna seem to be a huge one, which automatically induces bhakthi among us, it was such a marvellous sight. I sat near the bhajana place and was listening to songs till 12 am. Again with Sri Hari’s echa, I and my friend were allowed to cut fruits for Panchamirtha abhisekha, before that we took bath on the holy river and reached the place at 12:am on 8/1/09(Dwadashi dhina)
We cut fruits till 3 am and waited for Swamiglu to take mangalaarthi. At the right time, Sri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji came and performed arthi and left for snana(bath). Again with Sri Hari’s echa, we were allowed inside the holy brindhava to keep the fruits which we cut for abhiseka. I thanked Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu from inner bhakthi for allowing me inside for more than two hours,I am pretty sure that without their anugraha, it would not have been possible.
Sri Sathyatma Tirtha Swamiji did abhiseka in a splendid way. I could hear the chanting of Sri Sri Raghotamma theertharu nama from the four directions. I felt marvelous to be there at that place that too I was standing very near to Sri Raghotamma theertharu’s moola brindhavana.The time was around 6 AM and since I was on ekadashi fasting, i started to find place to have prasada of Sri Hari(dwadashi paranae). I waited till 6:30 am to finish the alankara of yatigalu and sat at a place comfortably. Later Sri Swamigalu’s naivedhya prasadha was served at 7:45 am and was lucky enough to have them.The food there was so delicious. Thanks to Srigalu for providing me Tirtha prasadha.
My journey to thirukovilur was superb this time and would love to visit the place each and every year aradhanae.

I ALSO CAME THE SRI RAGOOTHAMA TIRTHARU MAHARAJ’S ARADHANA DAY. I HAVE ALSO OBSERVED FASTING AND ON EKADASI DAY I HEARD ALL HOLY NAMES OF SRI HARI THROUGH DASARA PADAS BY SRI HARI BAKTHAS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. I HAD HOLY BATH ON DWADASHI DAY AT 0200 AM ON THE HOLY RIVER. I HAVE SEEN BRINDAVANA ABHISHEKA BY SRI SATHYATMA TIRTHA SWAMIGALU AS WELL AS SRI DIGVIJAYA RAMA DEVARA POOJA. WHAT HAPPENED AT THE TIME OF HAVING PARANE I HAD GIDDINESS AND FAINTED. AT THAT TIME SRI SRI SWAMIJI CAME AND BLESSED ME. AFTER FEW MINUTES WITH SRI HARI’S GRACE SRI SRI RAGOOTHAMA GURU’S GRACE SRI SRI SATHYAPROMODA GURU’S GRACE AND ABHINAVA RAGOOTHA TIRTHARU SRI SRI SATHYATHMA TIRTHA GURU MAHARAJ’S GRACE NOTHING WILL HAPPEN FOR ME. THIS IS TRUE INCIDENT .

I had an amazing grace of Sri Raghothama tirtharu and Sri Satyapramodaru…. I used to suffer from chronic stomach ache… Just a few pradakshine to these Gurugala Vrindavana by a ajnani like me without any bhakti, cured me of it…..I will always remember guru’s grace on me…

enalarge the top portion of Brindavan. U will find a yati. Go on enlarging it. At the point of chest,u may find something strange? According to my observation it is the face of a person, from another angle it looks like the head of an animal. Would any one of u analyse it, and let me know.

The place is called MANAMPOONDI. If you come from Villupuram it is one hour journey. After Aragandanallur the next stopping is Sri Ragothamaswamy Madam. All conductors and drivers know the place. I hope the above info is suffice. tks
