The place is Madurai,the ruler Tirumalai naicker and the minister was a great scholar Neelakanta Dikshitar. Sri Raghavendra Tirtha in the course of his divine sojourn comes to Madurai where Neelakant dikshitar is highly impressed by the Sri Rayaru work “Bhaatta Sangraha on Mimamsa” and he places the work on an elephant and takes it in a big procession throughout the streets of Madurai. Sri Vadindraru Tirtha in his grantha Gurugunasthavana wonderfully completes by opining “the fame of Your Holiness also spread all over the eight directions like how the glory of the book is spread”. Such is the greatness of our dear Swamiji!
The 346th Madhya Aradhana of Sri Raghavendra Teertha Gurusarvabhoumaru is celebrated tomorrow (9/8/2017), the day when Shri Raghavendra Tirtha entered jeeva brindhavana 346 years before!
Sri Appannacharya who was in distress because of the floods in the Tungabadra and was also in anguish with pangs of the permanent separation from his master who was going to enter the brindavan. On reaching Manchale his fears came true and the saint had entered the brindavan. Hence, he could not proceed further after saying ‘vibhuthi rathula’ and was choked with tears. From inside the sacred tomb came the divine voice which he had so frequently heard saying ‘saakshi haya syotra hi’.
Such is the greatness of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Stotra. This stotra is a qotent mahamantra of which, if chanted properly and after understanding the meaning will definitely be a great wish yielding tree.
Sri Rayaru, the greatest saint, proved that even after entering his brindhavana he will continue to save and bless his devotees, irrespective of Religion,Caste. Sri Rayaru has had been blessing those who surrender his holiness feet!
